Services and Expertise

  • Strategic Partnerships and Fundraising

Having formed strategic partnerships and sponsorship deals with a quarter of the Fortune 100 and raised more than $25 million, Aria possesses an acute awareness of the expectations and needs of potential partners and sponsors and the ability to articulate an organization’s vision for maximum impact.

  • Scaling Membership Organizations

Playing crucial roles from marketing to CEO, Aria was a leader throughout DoSomething.org’s growth from 100,000 teen members to over 5 million, and from a limited geographic reach to spanning 131 countries around the world. This experience gave her in-depth, first-hand knowledge of every aspect of scaling membership organizations, from proven growth strategies to financial best practices, and from member engagement to the application of data and new technologies.

  • Movement Building

DoSomething.org is an organization of movements – from registering voters to promoting inclusion in high schools, from raising cultural awareness to providing period products to homeless shelters. Having guided dozens of movements that have engaged millions around the world, Aria understands how to turn moments into movements and how to harness them for positive change.

  • Business Strategy

As the Founder and leader of DoSomething Strategic, Aria has a unique and powerful understanding of the dynamic intersection of business goals and the purpose-driven marketplace, allowing her to provide invaluable guidance to socially conscious businesses for over a decade.

  • Non-Profit Governance

With over fifteen years of experience as a leader in the nonprofit space, Aria has successfully defined strategy for her own organization and has been an active partner in the development of best practices for growth management and socially conscious governance. As CEO, she ensured equity in governance by diversifying her Board and including salary and pay equity in the organization’s financial governance strategy, as well as keeping DoSomething as a 4-star charity on Charity Navigator for over 13 years running.

  • Public Speaking

A sought-after public speaker, Aria has spoken at hundreds of conferences and has been a keynote speaker and/or panelist at the Aspen Ideas Festival, TEDxJnJ, South by Southwest, the Social Innovation Summit, the Nexus Global Youth Summit, HSBC’s annual International Women’s Day events, and the World Economic Forum Annual Conference in Davos.

  • For-Profit Subsidiaries

A for-profit subsidiary can enable a nonprofit to productize the wealth of knowledge it has built through its mission-oriented work, or to separate that work from product sales or other revenue-generating operations. Having founded DoSomething Strategic as a subsidiary of DoSomething.org, Aria understands the unique oversight and legal challenges that come along with the business model – and the exciting potential it can unlock.

  • Digital Strategy

Throughout Aria’s tenure, DoSomething employed increasingly sophisticated data to understand the needs, wants, and behaviors of its members and to engage successfully with them. Building on that experience, Aria understands how to deploy a strategy to capture key data, and how to combine explicit and implicit data to create powerful insights.

  • Youth Civic Engagement

After the 2016 election, DoSomething created a four-year plan to become best-in-class with regards to civic engagement and specifically youth voter engagement and GOTV (Get Out The Vote). Leading up to the 2020 election, DoSomething used this expertise to register over 250,000 young people to vote in under a year. Aria is incredibly passionate about youth voter engagement and would be thrilled to lend her expertise to other organizations and companies with similar missions and goals.

  • Product Roadmapping

For over a decade, Aria worked closely with the DoSomething Head of Product to bring to life their joint vision for the Webby-award-winning DoSomething.org. With their demographic constantly on the move and looking for the next best thing, Aria and her team had to stay on top of recent trends in technology, social change and youth engagement to ensure that the products they were bringing to market would resonate with the next generation consumer.

  • Finance Leadership

Through her experience as a COO and CEO as well as ongoing education, Aria combines a deep understanding of finance with a proven track record of revenue creation, proactive financial management, and organizational growth.
